Glossary

EPS (Earnings per Share)
The profit allocated to each outstanding share of a company's stock.
Growth Rate (g)
The expected annual percentage increase in EPS or another financial metric.
Bond Yield (Y)
The annual return on a bond investment, expressed as a percentage.
Intrinsic Value
The estimated “true” value of a stock based on financial formulas (here, using Graham’s methods).
Margin of Safety
A measure of how much the intrinsic value exceeds the current market price; a higher percentage indicates more potential downside protection.
CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate)
The annual growth rate of an investment over a specified period, calculated using the beginning and ending values.
